Moborobo lets you send messages; manage data, images, media files, and themes, and even install apps to your smartphone or tablet from any computer. It can be a pain to set up if you don’t know what you’re doing, but it works like a charm once you have it up and running. If you’d rather send texts with your full keyboard or just don’t want to get up to grab your phone, this is a nice download to have.

Moborobo lets you manage your Android tablet or smartphone from your computer; but to make it work, you need to download a companion app on your mobile gadget. Once you do, you can use the program over Wi-Fi or USB, but both take some setting up. Connecting with USB requires developer permission and a new driver (that windows may flag as suspicious) on your computer. Wi-Fi is a little easier, but you still have to scan a QR code that doesn’t always respond and makes your phone vibrate wildly when it does. Once you make it through all of that, Moborobo works like a charm. It lets you use your phone as a USB drive and send texts quickly. To quickly transfer files to your device, you can just drag and drop them to the floating window on your desktop. It can even manage your contacts or current apps and install new ones from the developer’s store. Though the program’s menu doesn’t look like Android’s, it still looks nice.

The app is worth the long setup process, but it’s still pretty daunting. It’s especially off-putting when you know there are other apps that can do most of what this program does without needing to install a new program on your desktop. If you need to manage your phone as well as turn it into the occasional USB drive, Moborobo will probably fit your needs best, though.
