It is the antithesis of hardware which refers to a computer external components. A device running programs, scripts, and applications are collectively referred to as "software" in this context.
Changing wallpaper automatically is easy with this no-frills freeware tool, but results are marred by a couple of program errors. Desktop Exchange’s neat and intuitive interface is easy to navigate. This application primarily changes your wallpaper according to a user-defined time interval. Like other tools in this category, you can easily add your wallpaper-collection folder to enable the application to randomly choose desktop-background images. As you scroll through the list of wallpaper, the utility displays the preview and details of each image when selected. Some of our testers were unable to display image thumbnails with this utility. Other testers found the utility ignored the Actual Size/Stretched option and opened all images as stretched. The search function inexplicably searches Google instead of Google images. This freeware had problems installing on some test systems, but every level user will find it adds a little surprise each time the desktop wallpaper changes.
