Time Tracker is a time tracking software designed for teams.
It allows you to capture and approve time entries from your employees and contractors for easy payroll and client invoicing.
You’re already scheduling events, and managing email, in Outlook. Now you can convert your Outlook events, and emails, into time entries with a few simple clicks.
Your time entries will automatically post to your Time Tracker account for your review and approval. Approved time entries can then be used to generate client invoices or for payroll.

- This add-in can access and modify personal information in the active message, such as the body, subject, sender, recipients, and attachment information. It may send this data to a third-party service. Other items in your mailbox can’t be read or modified.
If you’re a Microsoft Office user, there’s a little-known feature in Outlook you should know about. Outlook Journal can keep a detailed record of what you do during the day with little to no effort at all.
Journal is disabled, by default, and to get to this feature in Outlook, you have to click on the tiny drop arrow in the left navigation pane, go to “Add or Remove Buttons…” and select Journal. So it’s no wonder few people use this feature.
It can, however, be really useful for time management and project tracking. You can set it to automatically log all task requests, emails, and meeting requests–from specific contacts or all of them. If you enable tracking on Office documents, you’ll get a log of every time you work on Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint documents–with the times and names of the docs.
You can view the log in a timeline or as an event listing. I used this to track my hours on projects for my timesheets, and it’s a really easy, built-in tool helpful for remembering the details of everything you work on.
Adding journal entries is easy too, with a timer so you can record how long you work on something, and features like categorizing the entry, making it private, or linking it with people in your address book.
Connect multiple Microsoft Outlook accounts
Timely can automatically track the time you spend on email in Microsoft Outlook. Simply connect the Outlook accounts you want to integrate with Timely and accept the permissions.
Review your Outlook time tracker activity
Time spent composing or responding to emails in Microsoft Outlook will then appear on your private Memory timeline inside Timely throughout the day. Each Outlook activity — or “memory” — will detail the email you worked on, including subject field and send time. No one but you can see this data.
Log all time on email to your timesheet
Just drag Outlook memories to your public timesheet to log them — or get Timely’s AI to draft time entries for you. Add projects and tags to your time entries so you can report on your activity.
